I got a new 5 stage BRS unit, and my PSI is only at 40 steady, is that okay? like will it make sufficient water or what

40 may be to low. The membrane won't be able to be as effective. I would consider a booster pump. upwards of 60 is preferable.

Agreed with @Crabs McJones , I would get a booster. I was running about 60#'s of water pressure and it made a decent amount of water. Then I realized that I had 3 toilets bleeding by, after I fixed that my pressure jumped way up and now I produce 2 times the amount of RO/DI water in the same time.

I was originally at about 48psi. I added a booster pump from brs and now get 80-85. Water production is so much more efficient with much less waste water because the membrane is more efficient at higher pressures. Sucks to buy the pump but for me it was one of the best purchases I made.

Ya set up as the first water usage right of the main 3/4 line. Loads of pressure. That project sucked because we went without water for 12 hrs. Wife was not happy. Not to all out there 1/4 repair sleeve won't connect to 1/4 water valve.
