Is a .003 jump in salinity too much for a fish?

I have a midas Blenny that’s been.. a less than wholesome citizen in my tank. The final straw was watching him chase my dragonet. I currently have him and the rock he hides in in a 5g bucket with some tank water and I’m waiting for him to come out to put the rock in.
I currently have 5 fish (coral beauty, 2 chromis, 2 banghaii cardinals) in a QT tank at 1.023, while my tank is at 1.026. I’m wondering if I should just switch the tanks for the fish in QT and the midas Blenny for the time being. I do have a time out box of the change of .003 is too risky for the fish.

That kind of drop wouldn’t be as bad as that kind of increase. Is there a reason you can’t slowly increase overnight?... If I’m following you you have to catch him anyway to get him out of one tank into the other, correct?

I caught him and he’s in a little jail. I just felt bad and was thinking mind as well throw all the new fish in the big tank and swap them but I shall wait and just keep the Blenny in the fish jail until tomorrow when the fish store opens.

going down for the midas would be no problem, i dropped my fish from 1.025 to 1.020 without acclimating at all and had no losses

but going up from 1.023 to 1.026 i'd acclimate them for a bit. or just top off the QT with saltwater for a day or two? that's what i do when fish are nearing the end of QT so i can just toss them right in the tank they're going in

If it's a low SG QT, raising SG by 0.003 over 24hrs is the recommended max.
But if you're just wanting to acclimate, I'd personally do 2 hours with a healthy fish, or 24hrs on one which is stressed/otherwise unhealthy
