Is a 2 inch sand moves too high here?

Setting up my first tank and attempted to calculate a 1-1.5 inch sand bed. I used the BRS calculator and I put 45 lbs of special grade sand in but it looks like it’s created a 2 inch sand bed. Should I take an inch out? I haven’t added water and I don’t know if it will settle a little more. Thoughts?

It will definitely settle more. I would wait and and see what you end up with. You can always scoop some sand with the water added. looks great though!

It's pushed up along the edges of the glass, and once wet it will compact somewhat - so I think you'll be under 2".
