Is a bubble coral in bad shape worth buying?

I stopped by a local lfs and noticed that they had a green bubble coral for sale. It’s actually been languishing in there for a few months now and I was seriously considering buying it once I setup my larger aquarium. Problem is that it has not faired well and is looking seriously sorry, skeleton exposed, etc. I’ve read that they’re pretty resilient and hardy, but do you think it’s worth the risk? I’ve brought coral back to health before but I’ve never had a bubble before. Opinions?

Lots to consider when attempting a rescue.
Is your tank established?
How languished is this coral?
Do you have a quarantine, or will this be going into a tank with other healthy specimens?
I knew a guy who would always buy sick and weak specimens, he called them “challenge pieces.”
It really depends if you are up to deal with the uncertain outcome.

It may rebound with care, but it will probably die if someone doesnt give it a better habitat. You have to decide if it’s a thing you are willing to gamble on.

Hit or miss. If it's really something you want...ask for a discount or if they'll let you return it if it doesn't start to recover in a few weeks. Some stores will realize they're about to lose a $$$... and will sell it for a discount to a hopeful reefer.
