Is adding UV strip light bad?

Was looking to add a little pop to the coral...is adding a UV stunner strip OK? Or are there problems / issues with this type of light. Don't want to hurt any coral or fish...
 
Nothing wrong with adding it. You might get some extra algae growth
 
I think you would get better pop by adding a strip with the 453nm or 445nm blue lights. A whole strip of just UV seems like overkill to me.
 
I have 2 marine fusion (combo white / actinic) and one full actinic.....just wanted to see if a UV would be OK to add a little night time pop
