Hi everyone,
I've got my fish in QT, it's been one month of just observation. I noticed once before that my midas blenny's poop was stringy and clinging to him but it quickly broke off but it was only once so I brushed it off. Now it's taking quite some time to detach, but it's... beige colored? Not all dissimilar to the color of the flakes I'm feeding. The longest bit, the bit that left his body first is more of a beige, but closer to the body it gets closer to a deeper reddish color. He's still super skittish of me so these are the best pictures I've been able to get.

Sorry about the volume, still working on it.

White stringy poop is a symptom of either internal worms and or internal parasites; brown stringy poop is usually just some sort of stomach irritation the fish is experiencing, usually due to its diet.

You beat me to it @Big G was typing that up when I saw you post. I agree 110% with what he said ^^

Has to be white & stringy before it's considered a problem: https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/internal-pathogens.267419/

Thanks everyone! What sort of things about the food might be causing stomach irritation. I usually feed omega one flakes, this particular one will also eat omega one pellets. They also get cobalt marine pellets, and Hiarki Marine S, sometimes Ocean Nutrition Prime Reef Flakes but they're not much of a fan of those. I was considering giving them some frozen tomorrow as a treat, but they're so skittish still that they hardly eat when I'm /at/ the tank and they don't eat a lot so in QT it gets messy fast.
