I bought an aqueon power flow filter yesterday for the 20 gallon, and I was wondering if that is a good filter for a saltwater set up? I have one in my freshwater 10 gallon and I like it

They tend to be over reported on flow.

But if looking for mechanical filtration on a saltwater aquarium it will help. I have used them in breeding tanks or hospital tanks before. I dont like their filter pads. So always created my own that dont have carbon in them.

Pumps always failed on me after a year or 2.

Will need additional flow in the tank as they dont provide a lot.

Looking at powerheads as we speak. :)
