Is black ich contagious?

Hello, I have 3 tangs in qt, 1 of them has black ich that I cannot get rid of. 2 questions, #1 should I assume that they all have if I only see it on 1 of them? #2 is black ich a death sentence?

*Caveat to my experience with black ich it was freshwater. But still a tubalarian in cause.
Yes its contagious the infective larvae are in
the water column. Its not treated by copper but is treated by prazipro, formalin, or hypo-salinity
The life cycle ime is slower than ich or velvet so maybe be why only one fish is showing symptoms so far.
