Stilf confused between these two. Which one is possible to kill the corals for good? Please help Thank

Rapid tissue necrosis is the rapid loss of the coral tissue. the tissue will still have its color but it will rapidly be peeling or coming off the coral. its a quick death. SPS mainliy. Bleaching is when the coral expels is zooxanthella algae due to too much light normaly. this is for all corals, clams and Anemones.

So with SPS mostly will be RTN and other corals is bleaching right? Will corals regain the zoos and color back?

SPS can bleach as well. its not a death sentence with that. given good husbandry and water quality, corals will regain their color. HOwever, with RTN... they wont ever recover. you will need to cut off above the spot where tissue is receeding and re-glue them.

last fall, due to an unknown pest or somethign else, (still not 100%), I lost ALL of my sps. Massive RTN event. one coral after another. I lost large colonies in a matter of a day.

WOW that sad to hear! Hope your new corals with do better

Yea. It's heartbreaking. I haven't kept any sps in 6 months. I'm taking a break from them focusing on zoanthids
