Is blue wavelength all that matters?

and the little bit of red for chlorophyll A and B or whatever. I’ll call it red food and blue food as a oversimplification to get to the point. If you as a animal had unlimited food and lived in a dark cave, would you be healthy? My point and question here is if a coral isn’ a leaf, but is a animal, why do we solely focus on the emissions that only provide food for it symbotic algae? Are all other wavelengths either negative or irrelevant to the animal host?
This is also recognizing or wondering if algae fears have skewed our lighting status quo.
 
My ReefLED90 makes me think that blue wavelength is what really matters and the white light is just for our eyes and it the main thing to adjust if algae is a problem. I am in no way knowledgeable though.
 
BRS has a great lighting series you should watch
I have watched so many BRS vids lol ..
anyway their talks seemed to focus on the important blue wavelengths ... I dont recall any mention on usefulness to corals past the blue peaks, or rather I thought the emphasis was on wavelengths that matter for chlorophyll production.

My question/concern is that even if water filters out a lot and most aquatic animals have adapted to that, why do most of us assume the animal only needs light to feed the symbionts?
Or is it that it’s all that research is focused on. What about vitamins, protective pigments, I dunno...

. I guess I’m saying since many land animals need sunlight why isn,t the. same true for sea animals even if water is a more absorptive medium?
