Is chaeto immortal?

I mean I know it you can kill it.

I've managed it.

But does it get old?

Can you just keep pulling it out of your sump forever?

Or will it eventually just die of old-age not matter how well cared for?

No old age, if it has what it needs to grow it will. Every strand is its own. so if 50 die but 500 are left it will keep going
