Is cipro safe?

I would imagine dose has a large bearing on the answer to this question. Are you dosing the tank for BJD? Or are you treating the fish?

For my new swallowtail angel but I got new tilefish in there so just making sure.
last month or so I mixed 50ml rodi with a 500mg pill and dosed my 120g 10ml each night for sps stn issues.
so fish, same dosage?
I actually have no clue about antibiotic treatment for fish. For BJD, there's been some decent posts showing data for "efficacy" at very low concentration, but I don't know if that is the case for your fish's infection. In the BJD case, they were trying to rid the tank of a specific bacteria--you'd have to know what's infecting your fish or a general guideline for treatment.

Yeah. The fish got some white spots on it. Just want to kinda broadcast to treat it before it spreads to other fish.
Might want to check that for ick, which is a protozoan and impervious to antibiotics. Apologies if you already know how to diagnose ick. Might want to make another post with pics of your fish for the fish disease experts to chime in if you don't yet have an ID on the disease.
