So the greenish rust color is diatoms and the red is cyno? I knew it was too good to be true smh
Try blowing it off
Thanks guysGreenish is diatoms and the redish color is cyano. Coralline usually comes in as a bright green, purple or pink mark that grows in diameter but doesn't get darker or lighter.
Thanks. I think the problem is I added some live worms and the got out of control when they hit the water LMAOOOOOO I caught most of them with a net but I saw some escape under a rock where I couldn’t get to them. They are probably decomposing and making my nitrates skyrocket. Should I lift the rock and try to get them or just do a water change and let them finishing?Reduce white light intensity a little and blow Loose with a turkey baster and see if it all comes off. A little cyano is my guess
Monitor phosphate and nitrate levels to assure they’re not becoming elevated
I’m not all that concerned with it as my rocks have been white for months. Just glad to have SOMETHING going lol. What should I do if anythingThat's pretty much a normal stage in a relatively new tank. Be careful to not bottom out your nutrients while battling this as there are much worse things that can happen than cyano and diatoms.
