Hi, me again. So...in my new larger setup, one side of the tank is in direct sunlight coming in from the window at about 1,50m distance, for about 4 hours daily. Also, my lights are a DIY ATI type fixture with 8 T5X39 bulbs, but the whole thing is 1m long as it was made to fit my old tank. I was thinking of maybe fixing it over the middle section of the tank and complementing with 2 small leds on either side, or moving it over to one side of the tank, which is 1,60 long by the way and using a larger led on the rest. But I am wondering if maybe direct sunlight could make up for the lack of T5 lighting on that side? So I could move the ATI type fixture on the side of the tank away from the window and let natural sunlight complement the T5 bulbs?

Evening

Usually sunlight is just going to lead to extra heat and algae growth. Any benefit will be outweighed by the negatives.
