Is GFO reusable ??

If you run GFO for a week or two, then take it out, then store it, can you reuse it, or does it have to be discarded and replaced?

Not worth the effort and cost of additional chemicals needed for the general hobbiest.
Cheaper and easier to go buy more gfo IMO than regenerating yourself.

i think what he means is if you HAVEN'T exhausted the gfo, store it for a month or two.... can you just add it back to the tank and reuse it?

Gotcha.
Since GFO exhausts rather quickly, the only way to test if its still effective or not would to be test the phosphate level before use, during use and after removal.

Myself, i would buy new gfo so i know its going to work for what i need it to work for.

Just buy new stuff. tried regen myself, and it wasnt worth it, and results less than expected. if its used and at 50% yes it can be dried and stored and reused
