I also had that in a previous tank and will never do it again. Besides being a good grower it’s really nothing special imo. Went to cut it for removal and it crumbled and dusted and blew all over the tank. Got rid of the big pieces but those that blew around grew everywhere. Ended up breaking the tank down for a move but I’ll never put that in a tank again.
I have a 26 gallon nano. I loaded it up immediately with frags to speed up the cycle. One was a pocillopora Damicornis. It worked the tank cycles quickly. Now, only a month out, I gloomily noticed 4 tiny fluorescent green spots in various locations including on an empty shell in the sand. The coralline algae is just beginning to spread and I already have 4 (that I can see) new colonies to deal with.
