Is H202 bad for pumps?

@Randy Holmes-Farley will H202 have any negative effects if used to soak/clean powerheads? I'm going through a strong algae phase and a 15 minute soak will easily clean my powerheads. Just want to make sure this won't eat through seals, plastic, or deform anything over time. If so I'll just use citric acid.
 
Cords may get brittle after repeated uses. The pump itself is likely to be fine, but I’ve never done it.
I guess I should've said that the plan is to dilute 3% H202 significantly (maybe 10% of the solution would be H202). If it will make the cords brittle then citric acid it is.
