Is this the hammer coral splitting? I have 3 clownfish, cleaner wrassse, engineer goby, and a coral beauty angel.
I’ve read that coral beauty can eat euphyllia but also new to these corals.

What I see is a E. ancora coral with 2 heads.

Well the person who sold me it told me other wise haha. How much would it be usually for head? And it had more hammer shape ends then tentacles that’s why I thought it was a regular hammer coral

Well update. It’s splitting I think. I can clearly see a second mouth now after I feed it some mysis. I got the coral 3 days ago started out as a 2.5 head. I saw the other head last night finally making it 3 heads. Incredible if the right handed side head is splitting to.

That's the scientific name for the hammer coral https://www.google.com/search?q=euphyllia+ancora+coral

Why do you think it is splitting or damaged? They look fine to me (definitely 2 heads)

A bunch of the tentacles were missing in the middle of the coral when I walked by the tank. I was worried about my coral beauty but it hasn’t done any damage so far other then the gsp. Plus I didn’t see any mouths till now

It’s looking a lot better. Incredible how fast these grow.
