I am VERY experienced in fw, but have never had a sw tank. I have decided to make a 1/2 gallon pico (some of you might recognise me from my build thread)
My question is, would it be fine to have a sponge in it. I know there hard but after seeing them, I have fallen in love with them. I just want to know if its a good idea, I will add coral on this Saturday, so I decided to ask before getting it.

Sponge... hmm. I've kept the pink spikey stuff with holes in it. The yellow...the white pineapple sponges.
The white refugium kind. Looks like wet TP. Lol.
The blue kind that people actually grow and sell. It plates. It's a display sponge.
Most of em though are hard to keep. Like nps gorgangians or bivalves.
