I’m new to the saltwater hobby but it looks like a feather duster to me. They are filter feeders. Don’t know if it would be an issue on the coral like that, it may move.

^^^Feather duster;)

Thanks for everyone’s input!

I just noticed that torch wasn’t extending polyps right beside the feather duster. Made me wonder if it was irritating it in some way. Any thoughts or experience there?

I wouldn't be surprised if the torch did extend and possibly had a piece of the duster stick to a tentacle.

Keep an eye on it, and if it doesnt move or causes more problems, pick it off or epoxy over the opening.
