Oh good! I do have hydroids on my glass just been waiting for them to die off...Not aiptasia. Look like hydroids.
Yes! Those pictures look exactly what I'm seeing.Looks like these little hydroids to me,I had them begginning of my tank as added first few frags, didn't seem to spread for me and not seen them in a long time, but have read numerous threads where they did become very invasive.
If memory servese correctly, some angel fish can eat them and I have a coral beauty ,if that's got anything to do with it or hermits eating them or got that many different variety of pods/micro fauna outcompetiting them idk ( but hydroids got a sting and related to jellyfish so maybe memory wrong or what I read is wrong ^_^ )

Taking your advice and quarantining the coral!Colonial hydroids are the plague... In my experience they don't disappear like other hydroid types, and can spread and ruin a tank.
If you can remove the frag from the tank, my advice is to take the coral off that plug and reattach it to a clean plug or rock. If there are still hydroids on the coral itself (after you take it off the plug which likely is infested as well), then dip the zoas in peroxide and tweeze off as many if the hydroids as you can.
