Is it Ammonia Burns or something else?

I have had my fishes in QT with copper level at 2.5 PPM
Seachem Ammonia badge hqas only showed 'Alert' and I would do water changes.
Apart from that I have mechanical filtration (With just sponge) and Protein skimmer to help with Ammonia aswell.

But I see burn like marks on the fishes, popeye and lost a sailfin, clown tang, and 2 anthias.

They eat good and then just all of a sudden the are not eating, lying at the bottom and dead (All in 24 hrs period).

Salinity is at 1.020

Any advices?

are you using copper? if not you can use prime to detoxify the copper if you are in fact using copper the only copper that ive read prime can be used with is copper power in fact i use copper power and prime in all my QT tanks with no issues keeps the ammonia at 0 if it ever creeps up

Yes, I am using copper power.
I threw in carbon last night and some prime to detoxify the ammonia levels

Will then do a major water change, and add some rocks and bottle of live bacteria.

I want those guys to live.

good idea in all my QT tanks i add live bacteria and prime that keeps the ammonia at 0 for the most part you are on the right track
