Just got a kung pow mont and placed it on a rock with my WWC Toxic that request the same light and flow and I'm afraid its starting to bleach. I have a few questions about how long does it take for it to happen and should I move it ??

I keep mine on the sandbed.
It could be that it needs to be acclimated to your lighting if it came from different lighting. You can put it at the bottom of the tank and slowly move it higher till it's where you want it.

Arent you worried about sand getting on it

Nope, I keep most of my monti's on the sand bed. If they get sand on them I just use a turkey baster or a siphon to blow it off.

In my experience, encrusting montis like Kung Pao and Beach Bum like lower light. I keep mine on the bottom.

Here's my crazy t and a frag on the sandbed also. Keep my sunset monit, cc castaway, rainbow monti, cb flaming phoenix also on the sand bed.

Usually with bleaching. Too much light is worse than not enough.
