My tank got this problem on the glass...is it dangerous in your opinion or not?

Does not look good to me unfortunately. Could progressively get worse. Is this a QT tank?

I suppose we are talking about the white/gray narrow vertical patch at the seam?

I would definitely mark (with tape or something) its current dimensions and keep an eye on it expanding at all. I would also assemble the things you might need to empty that tank quickly should the separation (if that is what it is) expands.

How many gallons, and how thick is the glass?

This is an air gap made wend the tank was Being build, it’s hard to say if it’s going to last or not, in general you want the seal full with no air gaps, for the size of the tank I wouldn’t feel comfortable myself with it.

The temperature will need raising a tad to ;)

That joint is unzipping. I would replace the tank. Better to do it now while you can manage things rather than wait until it is a full panic situation (or worse, while you are not around to do anything, and then return to a flood and dead livestock).

Is a 90 gallon thickness 12 mm

Hmm. Nothing lasts forever, and that looks compromised to me. I think I would be using this unfortunate situation to justify an upgrade to a 120G if you can swing it.

I have seen here people employ trigger clamps and 2X4 to secure a seam temporarily while waiting on a replacement tank. (Bigger, always bigger!) Might help you sleep easier. Probably not necessary, but 90G is a pretty big spill.

Perhaps somebody at #reefsquad has some safety advice or additional suggestions.
