Is it ich???

In the last 24 hours I have noticed a few things that make me worried about ich. My majestic angle has a small white spot on his tail fin, moorish idol has unilateral pop eye, and Aussie tusk seems to have flashed a few times. This is a fish only system so I can medicate it. In habitants are moorish idol, puffer, boxfish, maroon clown, Niger trigger, purple tang, majestic angel, flame angel and foxface. I have both cupramine and kick ich here. Wondering if I could avoid medications and just feed well. Also of notes is this weird behavior of the idol with the tusk. He comes up and "swipes" him. Tusk doesn't seem to mind. It seems to me that if it is ich it might be fairly early. Any thoughts?

I can see what you mean on the Angel. I see the spot. Make sure it's not sand stuck to its body. If ick is the case, do you have a QT you can put all fish in? I've tried kick ick before and it does not work. So I wouldn't waste my time with that. I'd do hypo (I would chose hypo, because it's a lot less stressful for the fish and I thought it worked very well compared to cupermine) you said moorish idol? In the video that fish is a banner fish kind of similar to the moorish idol.

How hypo would you go? I run the system at 1.020.

This explains a lot and how I learned to do hypo. I did my salinity at 1.009 I had an ATO to help but I would check it 3 times daily and I did have to use baking soda a few times to raise the PH.

IME; Swimming into the flow of a powerhead and purposely staying out of light are two unique symptoms of velvet.

BTW, that is very strange for the Heniochus to be rubbing himself on the tusk like that. Never seen that before.

Thanks for the input. Not seeing any unusual behaviors or photo intolerance. The heniochus is doing that but neither fish show any signs of stress or annoyance. Will keep a vigilant eye!
