Is it ich?

Hey guys new to reefing.

Just added a Tomini Tang to my tank. It was it a copper treated tank prior to adding it to my tank. I have had it in my tank for 2 days and noticed a couple white spots on its fins. Is this 100% ich or is it possibly anything else?

Also if it is 100% ich, what is the best way for me to start treating now?

For future info the best place to post is the fish disease and treatment thread where Jay Hemdal will see it as the resident fish disease expert. We can tag him here but first more info and pictures. There are also sticky posts there about how to post these issues to get the best advice; starting with a picture under normal non-blue light. Not admonishing just being helpful to try to get you the best answer in the future.

When you say he was in a copper tank what do you mean? From a fish store or you did QT yourself? Full 30 days at full therapeutic copper concentration? I’ve heard some fish stores use sub-theraputic copper which suppresses but not treats/cures ich.

Any other fish in the tank? Any other fish with spots?
