Okay, confession time?

I've noticed that pretty much any time I do ANYTHING around my aquariums- feeding, cleaning, water changes...it's pretty much the trigger for SOME kind of mess. A spill, a dribble of something. Knocking something over inadvertently, etc. You know. The usual stuff. I've made MANY unintentional frags in my life!

Spills are just my thing, I guess.

So, is it just me who's, well- "unlucky" when I work around my tank...OR are you in the same boat? I'm curious!

Me too Scott! Hubby cringes every time I go near the tank and I'm the hobbyist.

I've had my fare share of water mishaps . Sometimes just a simple dribble that a paper towel could clean up. Lol. Not once but twice while filling a buck with fresh rodi water I walked away. Big mistake! Partial swimming pool in the fish room. Did you know that 2x4's make great dam's?? Open the door and SURPRISE ! Ha! [emoji15]

Ha, I resemble your post. I spill no matter what, my wife is always on me about carrying towels whenever I do anteing. I can't tell you how many time the RO/DI has overflowed in my garage. And yep I clean my glass less than I should because I'm always ending up with a frag that I did not want to be frag

Love that..never had the chance to test it out (Hope I never do! ) :)

It's why I joke about every fish-related task that should "just take a few minutes" will take an hour or more...Normally, like 15 minutes to perform the task- and 45 to clean up the mess...

I always make a mess and then I question the meaning of life...HAHA!

Ugh. Certifiable klutz here. And don't get me started on how many times I've nearly electrocuted myself. Me + electricity + water = bad things XP

The other day I was adding ro to the ato and spilled it all over the electrical wiring thank god nothing short circuited but you could hear the buzzing from the water and electricity
I immediately unplugged it and had to sit and let my fan dry off as much stuff as possible.
It's so easy to ruin anything in this hobby with the flick of your wrist lol.

I've totally done that! Yikes!

the other day whilst i was doing a water change, my house plant (that has been next to my tank for a few months now) suddenly "jumped up" and "ran into my elbow" causing it fall over. don't know what the plants problem was getting in my way was but i had a few choice words for it afterwards.

I don't know if I told you before, but the first time I bought a tank with an overflow and shut the pump off, it backsiphoned, and I had no idea what was wrong. By the time I figure it out, three rooms in our apartment were flooded with about an inch of saltwater XP

I also accidentally fragged my kenya tree by dropping a rock on it. So far the frags are doing great, though!

I always manage to get water in places no where near the tank during water changes. Dropped a full open tub of flake on the floor once to......
