Hi,

I'm very new to saltwater aquarium and I started my tank 3 or 4 months ago.
I noticed this leaf growing in my tank and I was told it was bryopsis. It didn't spread on any other rocks and only on one rock. After a couple of weeks, it started to have a whitish green and became rounder than before. I can't post of a before photo as it's too big for this site. I only turn my light on for 5 to 6 hours a day. It looks like a plant about to bloom. I'm scared that it's gonna spread further and fast if this pops up. What should I do about it? I got lucky it didn't spread as fast as people told me. I also thought that it was a grain of sand that got in it. Also, is it still bryopsis? I'll get a phosphate test kit in the near future.

Not bryopsis, I believe it's called Neomeris. Not usually too bad, manual removal is best if you want to get rid of it.
I pulled out the original head, but it regrew after a few days. Is it a bad thing to have?
