Is it okay if i use coconut shell activated carbon?

Whats its difference between coconut shell and other regular carbon? Im confused

It is fine. A lot of water filters use coconut carbon.

Some carbons are too aggressive and strip too much out of the water which I believe is linked to HLLE in fish. Google seems to suggest that coconut carbon is one of these. I‘d get an aquarium activates carbon myself Such as BRS rox.
