Earlier today I got a clownfish pretty sure a percula. It has a indent on the left side of it's skull. Looks like a bite and not hole in the head. It is from the ocean. Will he be okay? And will it fight with my smaller ocellaris after I'm done quarantining?
Could it be hole in the head? It looks way worse in person.

Hi!!! I think it will be fine but you should definitely complain to wherever you got it from, see if you can get a refund cause that’s not cool. Good diet, maybe laced with antibiotics as a preventative should take care of it, the dent may follow the fish for life but it makes him unique! The fighting should stop soon after the two clowns pair up, make sure you have a net and box/sump on hand just in case the big one beats up the smaller one too much. Does the wound look infected at all? If it’s a very clean wound I wouldn’t worry too much, clowns beat each other up pretty bad when they pair and they are very hardy and resilient. As long as he continues to eat and swim well he should make a full recovery in the next month or so :)

One nice thing in saltwater is a fishs' ability to heal quickly and i should be fine. if you want to assure no fungus or other infection occurs, you can use melafix which is safe.
