Is it possible i have too much light now ?

I added a pair of T5 normal output lights to my already 4 T5 high outputs. And i also added two 36 inch .50w per led 100 led full spectrum fixture i had. This fixtures par 8 inchs down is in the 150-170 range. This is on a 135g 6ft tank. All the lights are 6-8 inchs up

My acros are 8-10 inchs down. I noticed my orange setosa is turning pale pink. From its deep orange color it once had. And a acro that i got recently which had no color but is suppose to be green its some ASD acro started turning green under just my 4 t5s. But now it looks like its losing the green.

All my other acros like my rainbow mili. Walt disney. Turquoise stag. Green slimer. Red planet. Myagi tort. Tricolor valida. Hawkings And others.. theyre all fine.

Is this normal for a orange setosa ? And that other acro i forgot its name its some ASD acro a green something

I recently saw a thread about a setosa taking on pink coloration under high light. It’s somewhere on this forum but I couldn’t find it to link for you. Maybe move the setosa and asd green acro down a little bit if you can?

It depends of the quality of the source. Acropora just under the water (or out of the water for parts of the day) in sunlight thrive with 2000+ PAR. Acropora under MH usually start to suffer around 1250-1500 PAR. T5s about 1000 to 1250. Most LEDs about 350-400.

Of course, each species and kind will differ a bit.

At 150-170 PAR at 8 inches down, I would worry that you do not have enough light... if that is total output from all of your lighting?

Yeah probably too bright.

It might not be the stronger lights, but the acclimation to the new lights. Were the coral acclimated at all?
