Is it possible to bond Blue Jaw Triggers?

I've left some room in my tank for adding more fish and i've had my eye on blue jaw triggers for a while now.

A local store near me has had a female for almost 3 months now and she's still healthy and active, then come to find out they got a male in about a month ago, he's also really active and healthy. They are not in the same tank but are side by side with a clear divider and I was told they have yet to show any aggression towards each other.

My question is, has anyone bonded two of these up before if they weren't already bonded? Do you think the chances are fairly good that they'll cozy up once in the same tank?

I'm planning to make a decision tomorrow or Saturday so if you guys have any advice i'd really like to know!

I've done that before with them.They were pretty small and chased each other for a bit,but there was minimal nipping!Wish I still had the pair

Yeah i'd really like to try but i just worry about it going south. However with them living side by side for a month it's less of a risk than finding them at different stores i suppose.

The only thing you can do is try!If it goes south then there's store credit.If it works then you have a nice pair

You can usually buy a pair if you ask and order them...I have a friend that just got a pair....they were pricy together but maybe another option

Very true... i've had very good luck at this store and from reading up on trying to pair these two i think they've done all the prep work for me. meaning they've been living next to each other for almost a month now with little or no care paid to each other.

The one thing I am worried about is the possibility of them teaming up and becoming hostile towards other tank members. I do have some smaller fish like a pair of clowns and a rainford goby. Right now that is my only worry and i realize it would be roll of the dice on if they tag team WWF style. That is my only hesitation at this point.
