Is it possible to connect two tanks via one bulkhead?

I've tried now 2 times, drilled the holes both times with out a crack. First time i tried to connect them without a support in between them, too much pressure cracked the glass. Second time I tried to do it with pvc between them and still cracked. I'm starting to think of other ways to do this unless someone gives me advice that will only cost one more tank.

I wouldn't try it with one bulkhead. Try flex pvc between them using 1 bulkhead on ea tank

why dont you go from the sump if you have one. i have a 40g frag tank tha gets the water from a pump at the sump after the skimmer with a t or y connection and then back to the filter bags the main tank is a 300g and you run only one skimmer and one of everything to operate your system

well what i'm trying to do is make my sump but i wanted to do so with two ten gallons side by side cause thats the most i can fit in the area I have, and I didn't want to have to pay to have one made. so now i'm thinking about a 10 and a 5.5 with a external pump

Use the biggest bulkheads you can. The more flow you get between the tanks the more stable and level the water will stay. Use the Spa Flex and glue it heavy.
