Is it possible to remove mushrooms?

Mushrooms are growing in places I particularly don’t want them to , is there an effective way to remove them from the live rock once they are anchored to it? I tried pulling one off it seemed impossible.

Ehh, prob not the best way but you can point a powerhead at it on medium intensity, it should get mad enough throughout the day that it will detach, just grab it once it settles in some corner of your tank, then put it in a mushroom box with crushed coral to reattach to. If you find a better way let me know, lol.

I actually thought of that but didn’t want to move the power head away from my acros I think I have another powerhead kicking around somewhere gotta dig through the old equipment box.

Not sure. I have a rule of no more than 3 at a time.

Toxins can and may release. If you cut, cut above the foot or scrape off with old credit card. If you want to rid of completely, you can inject Kalk via syringe and they will melt away

I’ve propagated mushrooms by cutting them in half. No problems for me.

I’ve never tried this but when you push at mushrooms, they’ll close up and get pretty small. Then you could put super glue over the tops of them.

I used a pair of hemostats and grab the base of mushroom and they peel right off works great. But to tight and it will cut in half. Just firm you can tell. Dont pull but roll the base

You can glue down freshly razored shrooms? Almost impossible lol

I bought some off a guy one time, he shook the rock and thumped it a few time and they let go, maybe he just got lucky.

I’ve heard about him legends says there an actual mushroom whisperer out there, but seriously I’ll give it a try.
