My fixture I actually use for my Orchids, but I figure more people in this group would know this.

I think they are 1 watt LEDs
They look soldered on to me.

The good news is you can replace 1 watt LEDs with three watt ones. They will run at 1 watt. Generally

Just look for unmounted LEDs on eBay.

There are many tutorials on YouTube for replacing LEDs in fixtures.

He says he thought it might be 1 watt

I said that so he didn't have to know. You can use 3 watt in place of 1 wattbit not vice versa.

I did that, and they are 3W.

This is for orchids, so I think I want full spectrum?

Super easy! I just replaced all the blue leds on my old reef radiance led. Don’t forget to get thermal paste to add the the back of the new leds. Do you know what watt the led is? Do a quick google search after you gather all the specs and you’ll easily find all of the materials. Assuming you have all the tools needed to replace them it should be rather inexpensive too.

Check out the recommendations on the orchid forums. I would say strong red a little royal blue and some daylight thrown in for viewing but, knowing how orchid growers can be, I would say there is a more specific spectrum

Super easy! I’d agree that is a 3 watt led but definitely double check. I just replaced all of the blues on my old reef radiance led. Once you know for sure what watt the led is you can do a quick google search to find all of you materials. I ordered mine off of amazon. Don’t forget thermal paste... that was a mistake I almost made. Assuming you have the iron, solder and flux you should be able to do it pretty cheap too. I used the soldering iron to remove and replace one by one. The leds I removed were literally exploded. It even blackened the optics which I also had to replace.

Another thing... you’ll find super cheap leds but be sure to check how long they take to arrive. The ones directly from China were about two months out.

Good luck!

Sorry for the double post... I tried to comment and it made me log in. I thought I lost my draft! :/
