to have phosphates reading zero and still a ton of green hair algae?

My tank is only 2 weeks since I started. I woke up this morning and GHA had taken over my tank all sand and rock is filled with the stuff.

I was going to treat with phosphate Rx but my phosphate is reading zero!

Your phosphate is reading zero because the hair algae is consuming it before it can be released into the water column.
