like others grafted sps and monti. can it happens to favia too?
cuz I had a piece of blue and red favia that had been in my tank for long time. It was always solid red center with the blue base but recently I noticed in some spot, the green pigment started to show off. Could it be the green and pink favia next to it or it is just coincident?

here are the pix

Um.. stress? but it still looks pretty bluffy and healthy though
maybe who know.

You don't want to let the two touch each other or get too close. There will be a battle.

changes in the aquarium? um. I had been doing the same basic routine. weekly water change, and water got tested every Fri and everything seem to be stable with in. The lastest things were added to the tank is the yellow tang, and 5 frags of corals.

Um... yes.

Don't take it the wrong way, stress does not necessarily mean you've done anything wrong at all. I've had this exact same thing occur a while back with a nearly identical colony of favia (coralite rim turned green as well) whenever I would replace my MH bulb. It would shift for a couple months then go back - the lighting intensity change was enough to trigger the coral to morph (protecting itself from higher light).

The coral definitely still looks healthy.

How long have you had it? You mentioned a "long time", but perhaps it's just changing a bit while becoming more acclimated to captivity (as most corals do).

thanks stunreefer for clarifying that. I had it for about 9 months now
