Is it safe to get back in the water?
I have been away from the hobby for about 10 years now.
From research thus far the basics haven’t changed but I have much to explore.
This forum has a great deal of content, and the moderators are watchful to assure civil posts.
(RC had numerous issues)
Just wanted to introduce myself and I will strive to avoid asking questions that have already been answered.
Happy holidays to you and happy reefing.
Dan

Back in the early 80s I began to keep SPS corals, and I was hooked.
In 2001 I decided to become involved with propagating corals in a captive environment on the wholesale level. As you can imagine, this required a long-term view.
A long story short ... this led to expansion. I became a wholesaler of corals, rock, and fish.
It is a challenging endeavor when done properly. To give you an idea of scale I had 4 X 8'x4'x15" coral flats.
12 x 180 gals also dedicated to coral. 8 x 30gal rock vats and a lot of tanks.
Being out of the biz for 10 years and wow have livestock prices changed!!
I hope to share some of some experiences as we go along.
Looking forward to communicating with you.
All the best for the holidays and prosperous 2024
Happy reefing
Dan
