I bought this box for my football memorabilia display cases. Im not sure what they are made out of. Im guessing acrylic. My rock work is in the center of the aquarium so I have space in the back and wanted to cut these in half and place corals on top of them instead of adding more rock. Do you think its safe? Thanks.

I think you'd be better off DIYing some stands if you don't want to add more rock. A box would need to have countless holes cut into it, so you don't get stagnant water or detritus buildup inside of it. Not worth the hassle/risk IMO.

They are safe as long as water circulates through them (as was said) I have 9 bottles in my tank for decades with no problem and acrylic tanks are built out of that same stuff.
