I want to make a shelf for my Tunze filter to hold filter floss. I am currently using black eggcrate but it's too thick for my liking making the filter floss higher up.

I've never had a toxicity issue with it, but watch that it doesn't sag or deform on you.

Jay

Would it do those things due to saltwater? I have a 2.5mm sheet and will be no bigger than 7x7cm in the filter.

Ha, sorry...no, that small of a piece won’t have those issues...I was thinking larger

I needed some thin but sturdy plastic and ended up cutting up an old folder but kydex sounds like exactly what I need. Idk why I never thought to use it

I bought it to make mudguards and bottom A-arm protectors for my RC car and it occurred to me to see if I can use it for this purpose lol
