So I just got my new salt water tank set up and I'm in the process of cycling it just got a question about my light.

I would like some coral I'm not sure the different kinds or anything just some that have nice color I have a a coralife light it has a 10000 k 31 watt bulb and I'm getting another new bulb I don't remember what it was but the local fish store told me they had it in there reed tanks so I told them to get me one it has something to do with the color blue

So to the question I had would this light be good enough for some coral?

what are the dimensions of your tank? is the 31w LED or Fluorescent?

A 31w coralife sounds like its a power compact bulb. Adding the actintic (blue) to it will help keeping corals, but you will be limited to softies and hardier zoas.

^^^^^^^^ I agree softies' and zaos if decided this is a long term hobby for you should up grade to some t5 and you could start keeping some lps and some sps

They are t5 HO bulbs and it's a 29 gallon tank this is just what I got for now wanting a bigger one but it will come in time I know
