Is metronidazole soluble in seawater?

How soluble is metronidazole in seawater? I dosed pure metro to the tank, but I see crystals on the bottom glass.

I have tried mixing metro with a lot of DMSO as an experiment, but it didn’t even dissolve.

All that white is metronidazole.

Nice. I just checked and it fully dissolved. It’s not a rapid process, but it worked. Thank you. I just wanted to know because the more soluble in water the better it should work for external issues.

New question! Is cipro soluble in seawater? I just added 50mg/gal of ciprofloxacin and I see a lot of granules on the bottom.

Cipro is not very soluble in water at neutral pH, but it can be dissolved in acid then it may stay in solution at the lower concentrations needed if slowly added to aquarium water in a high flow area. I'd dissolve it in vinegar, and then add that to a high flow area.

Small update: It completely dissolved overnight.

Thank you Randy for your swift response! I didn’t need the vinegar. Maybe the dose I’m doing hasn’t reached the max solubility of cipro.
