I got some Acans and I had them on my frag station too long which is intended for my Acroporas and he shriveled up and hasnt open in 7 days despite being put in a shaded spot with low flow. Idk if he is dead or not and if I should remove him...havent seen any polyp extention for 7 days

You sure nothing you have is picking at it?

Mine did this when I tried a Flame angel, once I removed the Flame is opened in 3 days...

No obvious suspects there, put him down on the sand, medium flow. The PAR may have been too high on that rack...

Reef Roid Target feed and see if you get a reaction... Acans are known to want less-than-clean water if you aren't feeding. Are your No3 and Po4's super low?

They were last time I checked which was last week but Im trying to up my nutrients because I thought I had dino but after a h202 test and it bubbled I knew I was dealing with GHA. Im using Hikari Coral Gumbo at the moment. I want to switch to reef roids when Im out

Thanks for the encouragement! I will look out for polyps and target feed him...doesnt look like it now but its six heads and they all still have color still
Mine has done this a few times when I have had alk swings, after a few weeks it went back to normal.

My acan is my most durable coral, hes in I'd say lowish light, bottom corner of my tank but in pretty moderate flow and has been loving it. Gets all the nutrients it gets from being the main point of contact from my gyre. With that said I think that would be best, put him in lowish light in med flow and try to spot feed. See if it can take any small meaty foods like mysis soaked in reef chili or reef roids. I also know mine loves reef energy from red sea, amino acids combo. That may help yours give it strength to fight out of perishing. Either way God luck hope he comes back. I've been nursing a hammer for about 2 months now finally getting it to make progress... again.. lol
