I have had this bta for about two months and when it first arrived it grabbed onto a spot and was extremely large and happy for a while. I had a small salinity swing and a phosphate drop about three weeks ago but nothing in my tank was affected. I used to feed every week but I missed two feedings and when I tried to feed the anemone it would not grab onto food and would shrivel up. I'm not sure what is happening. Is it splitting, dying or just sulking. All my parameters are in correct except mag which is at around 1600. I do have two clowns hosting it, could this be an issue. I have seen the mouth multiple times fully opened even though it wasn't eating or pooping. It never bleached, let go of its spot or anything. WHATS HAPPENING?
Any help is welcome

Clowns certainly can upset a nem.
Most likely IMM.
As long as he’s stuck, just leave him.
They do not require any feedings. IMG_1544.jpeg

Do you think I should move the clowns into the sump for a couple of days?

How rapid was the change from good to bad in terms of time? Is this a slow thing or overnight?
Have any shrimps?
Well it was over a week it got smaller and then would shrivel and then get big and then shrivel but now it has started sulking bad and hasn't opened up properly. And that was about a week to two weeks ago. No shrimps in my tank.

If you can do that safely and easily maybe that might provide a respite for the nem.

How stable is your chemistry?
You mentioned some unstable stuff in Salinity and Phosphate, nems not going to like those two in flux and the effects happen slowly.
Are these two things corrected?

How stable is your chemistry?
My chemistry has been very stable lately but before that I had a salinity swing and a phosphate drop. The salinity swing was bad but was fixed overnight about two weeks ago and the phosphate drop the same.
I might try keeping the clowns away for a couple of days.
