Is my anemone healthy?

I personally like either PE mysis, or frozen (( thawed )) krill -- that is what I have been feeding my anemones for the last 5 years or so.

I also like to feed my anemones a small piece of scallop.

I would say to feed small pieces, less than an inch.

I fed him two small pieces. He ate them right up. After feeding him his mouth is still out and open for some reason :l

You may want to just give it time. This anemone looks to be a bit pale to me. You have no way of knowing how it was cared for in the past. He may have been in not ideal conditions. Definately do not move or bother it. If its walking than it will settle where it wants.

what is the easiest anemone for clown fish to host?i have ( ocellaris clownfish)

That really is hard to say. I have a Haddoni that is about 15 years old, I have 2 BTA's. 1 is about 8 and the other is a baby. I have a purple long tentacle, 1 Ritteri and 6 perculas. My old BTA has never had a clown. There is on line information that tells you that. I will say that some clowns are mean! There are also people here that have beautiful anemone tanks that could probably give you a lot of help.

That's really quick. When I feed mine it usually poops the next day.

I would leave it alone. I wouldn't feed it and just let it go where it wants. Keep an eye on it and take a picture every now and then for reference.

So the anemone ate silversides earlier. I am now seeing the anemone spit it out. Is this bad?

I would never feed an anemone silversides. There have been way too many cases in which the anemone died shortly after eating it. Did you try feeding the anemone a whole silverside?

Agreed, let it go where it wants, my RBTA also prefers low flow, he roamed for a while and has stayed put for the past 3 months or so. Although I will say I have never seen mine expose his mouth as openly spread as yours looks. I have only been keeping nems for about 4months tho.

That is how I lost an H. malu about 5 years ago -- haven't touched a silverside since. IMO/E, they are the worst thing to feed an anemone.

I decided to have my lights on for only
6 hours instead of 10. I will also be putting a mesh over te tank. The anemone is hiding
Under a rock right now. Any other advice. My
Biggest mistake was not acclimating it
To the light. Even after constantly reading articles i realize how much I still have to learn

I think it may have died :(
This morning it looked like it was doing better.
I just looked at it and its mouth is wide open under a rock and it looks like all its tenticles are not there!
