How long has your tank been running? Give him some time might take a while to adjust.

Gotta give nems time to adjust to your tank. I had one that closed up and hid in a LR for 5 days before showing itself. It's very normal for them to take a few days to stretch out. Just watch to make sure it's mouth isn't wide open for too long. A little while can just be expelling waste, but mouth wide open for the better part of a day can be a sign of a problem.

You can start feeding small pieces of food today. If it's unhappy, don't be surprised if it doesn't really react to food for a couple days.

The tank been up and running for 4 months and thanks maybe that's all it is I just got to give it time

It’s fine Nems are weird and he’s probably ‘flushing’ his tentacles sense he’s in a new aquarium

No way its staying on that frag plate structure you have there. Is that a condy?

What are your water parameters?
pH
AlK
Salinity
Etc.....

What type of lights are you using and the intensity..specifically par if you know it.

Im no anemone expert...although i have kept bubbletips for years and have bubbletips and now Magnificent sea anemone

One thing that stick out in your photos is the gaping mouth.....thats never a good sign.

Give it time to settle in.....and the anemone for sure will let you know if its not healthy or happy.

Mysis shrimp is fine to feed it. I’ve only had BTA anemones but I can’t imagine this one to be too much different. The gaping mouth is kinda scaring me, I’ve never had a nem do that. If it’s still doing that in 24 hours the prognosis is not good. I might try the mysis now, just a tiny bit to see if it stops the mouth gaping. The clown isn’t messing with it right?

okay I'm about to try the mysis then and know the clowns are not bothering it at all

Tell us how the mysis goes, turn off the pumps and use your fingers or tweezers to gently place it in the nem’s tentacles. It should stick there and the nem will bring the food to it’s mouth. If the tentacles aren’t sticky we have a problem.

I dont really no my water parameters I used to do saltwater a long time ago but I got out the hobby and I sold everything including my test kits but the corals are doing just fine it's so weird because I never had a problem with BTA I always had corals that died and now its the other way around well thanks hope by the morning it will not be open i will post a updated pic now

okay I'm about to try the mysis then and know the clowns are not bothering it at all
It look like its doing better now i dont see it open and it look like its tanking the food and i think its open its mouth this time to eat the food

Looks much better! Expect it to move off that plate. If you want to contain it I suggest a acclimation box of some kind and DEFINITELY powerhead guards. Seen many anemones chopped to bits during their exploration stage

well why i dont have pics i can see if i can take one now well o it did move why the lights was out last night so i got up this morning check on the BTA status to see how was it looking compared to last night so it was in the top corner of the tank on the opposite side of the power head as you can see in the pictures I post from when I first made the this post the corner right by the Overflow the tank is a built in the back filtration so he was up in that corner so I decided to move him reason why the tank really evaporate water fast it's a nano tank and with it being hot it do it more faster I will say my temperature level been going up and down I did buy a fan for the tank but my temperature is Manny from 80 rarely sometimes higher depend on the temperature outside but I don't really think it's too much their temperature because I try to keep it low with the fan corals are doing just fine but yes I moved him back on the frag rack but soon as I put them on a frag rack it started to open not all the way it was kind of weird because it open when I moved it and then I just went up there the cut the lights off and it was closed up so after the lights been off for a minute I checked on it because the spot that is in I have a I think a green emerald crab but I cut the light on just to check on it like maybe 10 minutes after I cut the lights off for the night I wanted to see how I was doing so I cut the lights on and it was opened up more not the mouth the mouth was closed but the bubble tips was open so I'm assuming it's okay I guess it's trying to get the feel of the tank and I think another problem is I don't have rocks in my tank oh I'm thinking time zone thing where I brought it from we are two different time zones so I think it might just be getting adjusted to the lights I don't know just a guest I will try to take a picture now the lights are supposed to be off now

This morning look ok thanks for everyone help so I just now realized as I was taking the picture that the BTA have something attached to its side i dont know if it normal or is it a hitchhiker and I can see that is reaching for the light but not moving so should I move it towards the bottom of the tank because it seemed like the top is just to high flow the wave maker is not on i really never use it sometime to blow the food around when i feed or or when i clean the tank
