I bought this anemone yesterday and I’ve been worried about it since it won’t seem to open, I’m really worried that it’ll die and nuke my tank. Please help

Unless it’s guts is spilling out or if it’s melting then I would just give it some time. It’s still attached so that’s good. Put it in a low flow low light area so it can rest.

It looks bad and your tank looks very new for a nem. How old is the tank ?

i bought it from a guy about a month ago so it’s only been reestablished for a month

Sorry but not good. Once the foot is gone or the anemone looks like cauliflower (which it does)….. its' toast.
Never place other than fish or zoa/shroom/xenia in a new tank , at least the first 6-10 weeks

Don’t want to be that guy but to me it’s too new for a anemone. They need mature tanks.

I disagree, anemone's need stability. Which yes is most easily attained in an established tank, but they can be kept in new tanks.

Just keep an eye on it. Yes new tanks are tough on nems but "never say never". If it starts to lose grip and is floating around tank, then yes pull it. But nems are tough and strong ones pull through a whole lot worse than yours.
