What should OP (and any of us) do if that happens? It's fine. Just make sure the mouth isn't wide open and the tentacles aren't "deflated" for more than a day or two.
I just finished this treatment method with a LTA that had an open mouth for about week with great success. https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/ciprofloxacin-in-curing-anemones.353347/What should OP (and any of us) do if that happens?
Keep in mind though, anemones will regularly open their mouths and shrivel up to expel waste and excess zooxanthellae. This process shouldn't take more than a few days though. I would treat an anemone if it looked "sick" for a about a week straight. What should OP (and any of us) do if that happens?
That's basically where I'm at. I started in tank cipro after an RFA began gapong and moving around erratically for about a week. Fingers crossed. I have a new BTA arriving on Tues, so I might just extend the dosing another couple days in case it comes in sick.Keep in mind though, anemones will regularly open their mouths and shrivel up to expel waste and excess zooxanthellae.
