Is my ATO working?

Hi there, I am a bit new to ATOs and was curious if someone could help me figure out if it is working or not. I currently have the ATO connected (via pump) to a 5 G bucket of water. I have the nano 3152 Tunze. My tank is the 32 Biocube. I can take more pictures if it would help.

Please disregard after an hour I figured out the problem. The plugs were connecting and coming off as soon as I left the pump alone.

Is the water in the chamber supposed to reach the sensor all the way? Because it started then it stopped but didn’t reach the sensor. It seems like the pump works but only works after I plug it in. Then stops after a while.
