is my birds nest alright??

So my dad picked me up this new birds nest coral today while I was at the beach he put it on my rock near lots of flow. It’s polyps are all out and it looks nice. Can you guys tell me if it looks good where it’s at? Also it looks like the tips are kind of white is that normal for SPS corals while they are growing.

When did he get it? It looks very goody right now! The white tips are the new growing tips and are completely normal. Keep an eye on alkalinity and try to keep it stable, at this size though your normal maintenance should suffice for water care.

Yeah he got it about 3 hours ago just tested my alkalinity it’s at 8.3
